Benefits of the Carnivore Diet

Everyone is looking for a quick way to lose weight, well surprise there actually is none!

Well actually done that have been proven to work for everyone. Personally, I have tried weight loss tablets, powder shakes, fasting, vegan and even Gym. I can honestly say that I have never been able to stick to any of them. The key is always consistency which I struggle with, and I am sure most people do. Having a whole lifestyle change is very difficult when there is so many amazing foods out there.

One day I was sitting with my man having a drink at a bar, what use to be his local watering hole and I was feeling so low, I hated what I looked like, how I felt and even worse I had lost my whole self-confidence. Everything sucked!

Across the bar where we were sitting a friend asked me if I had ever tried the carnivore diet. I truly had not, I had actually never even heard of it before. He then told me he has been doing it for 3 years lost 40kgs and exercises once a week by going for a walk. I was like ummmm what? is he being serious?

He literally eats as much as he wants and is sitting at the bar having a whiskey! he asked me what I had to lose, try it for 7 days and if I don’t feel any change or difference then go back to feeling sorry for myself and try another way.

After a long chat with him about what he eats, how much and how many times a day I was pretty much convinced that I could try, I mean why not? His diet consisted with eggs, bacon, steak anything grassfed and water all as much as he wanted.

I wasn’t sold but I had nothing to lose!  The first 7 days were actually easy, geez I was eating everything I loved and as much as I wanted, I felt awesome, no boating, more energy, I slept well it was freaking fantastic, I was even fasting without even trying to because my food was filling me up so much that I was never hungry. After that it became difficult, I was so bord of food. However, in 3 months I had lost 7kgs with no exercise at all!

 So, I decided to see what others were doing, and discovered there is a lot of really cool meals that make you feel like you are eating something else but you still sticking to the carnivore diet.

I am not here to convince you to go on the carnivore diet but if you are struggling and have tried everything then what have you got to lose, even if it’s just for 7 days …. Give it a try!
